About The Position

RTX is offering a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session from January to July/August, requiring students to take a semester off from coursework. This co-op provides an opportunity to gain experience in the aerospace and defense industry, working on complex problems and advancing skills. The role involves providing engineering support and ownership for the Fuel and Oil pump product line, supporting new development and production programs. Interns will also support lead design engineers in CFD analysis, lead Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA) efforts, provide customer support for field failure investigations, and resolve Supplier Requests for Information (SRIs).

Requirements

Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
Experience using analytical and developmental software such as MATLAB, CAD, NX, and/or AutoCAD
Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and/or PowerPoint)

Nice To Haves

Experience with mechanical hardware is preferred
Experience may be obtained through on‑the‑job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

Provide Engineering support and ownership for the Fuel and Oil pump product line in support of new development pump design efforts and production/fielded pump programs
Support lead design engineers in performance of CFD analysis in support of new pump designs and field investigations
Lead Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA) efforts to identify causes and mitigation plans for issues affecting pump program productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction
Provide customer support for Field Failure investigations
Resolve Supplier Requests for Information (SRIs) by providing clarifications and processing Change Requests (CRs)
