A brighter future is possible with you. We are currently seeking a Software Engineer Co-Op for the Spring and/or Summer 2027 semester. This position is a full-time, 100% onsite opportunity located in Columbus, OH. Application deadline: October 16th, 2026. Requirements

  • Must be currently pursuing a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, or a related field
  • At least one year of college-level coursework completed
  • Experience with one or more software languages such as Python, R, MATLAB, C, C++, C#, or Java
  • Demonstrated interest in one or more of the following areas: microcontrollers, integrated circuit design, deep neural network approaches, radio frequencies, or hardware testing
  • Applicants must be a Sole U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to apply learned skills to real-world scenarios (e.g., research, publications, blogs, GitHub, arXiv, Kaggle competitions, internships, hackathons, cybersecurity clubs, or CTFs)
  • Experience programming and using data acquisition tools
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: big data methods, databases (SQL, NoSQL, or graph DB), FPGA design workflows, microcontroller design and assembly languages, or semiconductor fabrication and analysis processes

Responsibilities

  • Developing and reviewing code within a large C++ codebase
  • Building and debugging software applications for data processing and circuit design analysis
  • Developing and testing Python code in support of fundamental research
  • Building and debugging embedded software in an RF lab using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and debug fixturing
  • Working within a multi-disciplinary team using an Agile workflow
  • Communicating work status both verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical stakeholders
