About The Position

Witham Health Services is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Pulmonary and Critical Care physician to join its established practice. This is a full-time, hospital-employed position in a collaborative, community-focused health system. The physician will provide outpatient pulmonary care, inpatient consultation, critical care, and procedural services alongside experienced physicians and advanced practice providers. The physician’s home base is Lebanon, Indiana, with additional outpatient clinic opportunities in Frankfort and Crawfordsville; additional clinic sites are being considered. The schedule is four 10-hour workdays, Monday through Friday, with flexible scheduling. The role includes management of a 16-bed Critical Care Unit in a closed ICU model, weekday inpatient rounding, and participation in a 1:4 physician ICU rotation. APPs provide primary ICU coverage two weeks per month, with physician backup. The shared call rotation is discussed during the interview process. The position offers opportunities to perform thoracentesis, intubation, central and arterial line placement, bronchoscopy, robotic bronchoscopy using the Intuitive Ion System, and indwelling pleural catheter placement. The practice has a dedicated bronchoscopy suite with scheduled procedure time. Teaching opportunities are available with Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine. The established practice includes two physicians and two APPs. The physician will average 12 to 16 outpatient visits per day and have support from Respiratory Therapy and Sleep Medicine services. The EMR is Meditech Expanse. Compensation includes a competitive base salary with productivity and quality incentives. Requirements

MD or DO.
Board certified or board eligible in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine.
Eligible for an unrestricted Indiana medical license.
Experience with pulmonary procedures and critical care management.
Dedicated to providing patient-centered care in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Provide outpatient pulmonary care and inpatient consultation.
Manage critically ill patients in a 16-bed Critical Care Unit, including patients requiring ventilators, BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, and vasoactive infusions.
Round on inpatients Monday through Friday.
Participate in the 1:4 physician ICU rotation and provide physician backup to APPs providing primary ICU coverage.
Perform pulmonary and critical care procedures, including thoracentesis, intubation, central line placement, arterial line placement, bronchoscopy, robotic bronchoscopy, and indwelling pleural catheter placement.
Provide care at the Lebanon home base and additional outpatient clinics in Frankfort and Crawfordsville as applicable.
Participate in teaching opportunities with Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
