About The Position
We’re seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Pulmonary RN (Night Shift) to join a high-acuity respiratory / Med-Surg unit in Gainesville, FL. This role is ideal for a Registered Nurse with experience in pulmonary care, respiratory conditions, and acute care nursing.
Requirements
- Active Florida RN license (or compact)
- 1+ year of RN experience (Pulmonary, Med-Surg, or Acute Care preferred)
- Strong knowledge of respiratory care and patient monitoring
- BLS required; ACLS preferred
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced night shift environment
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to patients with respiratory and pulmonary conditions (COPD, pneumonia, asthma, respiratory failure)
- Monitor oxygen therapy, pulse oximetry, and respiratory status
- Administer medications, nebulizer treatments, and support ventilator/BiPAP/CPAP care as needed
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and implement care plans
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams
- Educate patients and families on disease management and discharge care
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation and follow clinical protocols
