About The Position

Ascension Saint Thomas Medical Partners is adding a full time Pulmonary Medicine Physician Assistant to their team. This role involves providing direct diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services under the supervision of a physician. The position is full-time and nights, located at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Physician Assistant credentialed from the Tennessee Committee on Physicians Assistants obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services under the supervision of a physician.
• Obtain patient history and performs assessment. Order, perform and interpret diagnostic procedures.
• Provide and document direct treatment and management of health conditions.
• Provide counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.
• Perform preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and care.
