The Florida Public Service Commission (FPSC) is committed to ensuring that Florida's consumers receive essential services like electric, natural gas, telephone, water, and wastewater in a safe, reasonable, and reliable manner. The FPSC exercises regulatory authority over utilities in areas such as rate base/economic regulation, competitive market oversight, and monitoring of safety, reliability, and service. The Office of Auditing and Performance Analysis (APA) is responsible for technical reviews across all industries, including financial, compliance, management, and operational analyses. APA analysts conduct reviews of utility-related records and data, providing independent verification of utility filings and statements. This position will conduct comprehensive reviews of data used to prepare utility filings and perform independent analysis of the utility documents supporting the filing. This involves compiling, analyzing, and verifying data and communicating the results in writing. It is technical, analytical work involving complex regulatory filings such as recovery clauses, staff-assisted rate cases, and other utility rate-setting proceedings.
