About The Position

Under supervision performs administrative work of moderate difficulty; performs related work as assigned. This position requires the ability to sit, walk, stand, crouch, stoop, kneel, reach, bend, and crawl for filing; work with and around others; deal with interruptions; perform repetitive motion (hand/wrist/elbow/shoulder) for computer work, filing, copying, etc.; possess vision acuity (near) for computer work and reading documents; have hearing and speech for ordinary conversation; and possess finger dexterity and touch for typing. Essential functions include these physical demands.

Requirements

  • Four years of progressively responsible administrative or clerical experience
  • Associate’s degree and three years of progressively responsible administrative or clerical experience
  • Bachelor's degree and two years of progressively responsible administrative or clerical experience
  • Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position
  • Strong administrative skills

  • Communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Financial/payroll processing skills

  • Detail oriented with financial information, preparing documents and meeting deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and schedules specialized departmental functions, meetings, and travel
  • Oversees an administrative unit's record management systems and databases
  • Serves as lead staff
