Public Safety Officer - Security
About The Position
St. Mary's General Hospital is seeking a Public Safety Officer to provide security services at its community-based tertiary medical center in Passaic, New Jersey. The role includes electronic surveillance, systematic manual security rounds, and coordinating the facility's response to potential problems affecting patients, employees, and visitors. The officer enforces policies and procedures equitably and uses established guidelines and ongoing monitoring techniques to help maintain a safe workplace and environment of care. The position works with the Environment of Care committee on a multidisciplinary approach to security and safety, participates in employee awareness and education, and drives as needed for company business.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- State Guard Certification Registration Card.
- State driver's license upon hire, if required by the facility.
- Current DMV H6 report or Driving History Report, if required by the facility.
