Part-Time Public Safety Officer
About The Position
The Public Safety Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for clients by monitoring premises, controlling access, and patrolling locations. The role preserves order by enforcing regulations and directives at client sites for personnel, visitors, and the surrounding area. The position involves interacting with client employees and guests, identifying and reporting safety concerns or suspicious activity, conducting property tours, and using technology devices throughout the shift. The officer follows post orders and completes assigned rounds, provides customer service, and performs other similar duties as required at the assigned site.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Above-average computer and technology skills.
- Excellent customer service and team leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to remain vigilant throughout the shift.
- Professional demeanor.
- Ability to respond to emergencies with rapid, effective judgment and appropriate escalation.
- Willingness to participate in the company's pre-employment screening process, including a drug screen and background investigation.
- CPR, AED, and Safe Driver certifications.
- One year of military, security, or public safety experience.
Responsibilities

- Resolve conflicts and de-escalate situations.
- Interact frequently with client employees and guests.
- Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, and suspicious activity.
- Follow post orders and complete assigned rounds.
- Provide customer service and information to client employees and guests.
- Use technology devices throughout the shift.
- Conduct tours of the property.
- Carry out other tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as required for the assigned site.
