Public Safety Officer - Security
About The Position
The Public Safety Officer performs security services at Shasta Regional Medical Center, including electronic surveillance and systematic manual security rounds. The role coordinates the facility’s response to potential problems involving patients, employees, and visitors; enforces policies and procedures equitably; and uses monitoring techniques to help maintain a safe workplace and environment of care. The officer works with the Environment of Care committee on security and safety and participates in employee awareness and education. Driving may be required for company business.
Requirements
- State Guard Certification Registration Card.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- State driver's license upon hire, if required by the facility.
- Current DMV H6 report or Driving History Report, if required by the facility.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in healthcare security or a related field is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform security services, including electronic surveillance and systematic manual security rounds.
