Prince George’s County Government is seeking qualified applicants for Public Safety Emergency Dispatcher I/II positions in the Public Safety Communications (PSC) Division. This critical role supports public safety and emergency responses. The position involves working 12-hour rotating shifts in a secured, windowless office environment, requiring prolonged periods of sitting, monitoring computer screens, and data entry. Candidates must be able to perform tasks such as reaching, fingering, grasping, hearing, seeing, typing, and repetitive motions. Specific vision abilities include close vision, ability to adjust focus, and sufficient vision to read standard text and video display terminals. Hearing abilities include the capacity to hear with or without a headset-compatible hearing aid and speak clearly on the telephone and headset. Typing critical information at a terminal keyboard is also required. All personnel must work on-site and are not eligible for telework or remote work assignments.
