About The Position

As a member of our team, you will be tasked to answer incoming routine and 911 phone calls. You will document and maintain detailed and accurate records of all calls, ensuring essential information is properly recorded in Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) system. You will deliver clear and accurate life safety and pre-arrival instructions to callers in potentially critical situations, ensuring effective guidance and support until emergency services arrive. You will maintain and project a professional attitude by remaining calm, courteous, and respectful with members of the public and partner agencies while working effectively under pressure.

Requirements

  • Proficient computer skills with the ability to quickly learn and navigate dispatching software, including typing at a minimum net speed of 35 words per minute
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Eligibility to work in the United States
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think and react to dynamic situations
  • Availability to work in varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Highly dependable in consistently reporting for work on-time and as scheduled; available for mandatory overtime when required
  • Comprehensive background check including pre-employment physical, drug testing, and criminal history will be conducted on potential employee candidates.
