About The Position
Mosaic is seeking a Public Relations Specialist to join their Central Iowa team. This role is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive plan to increase community awareness, engagement, and support for the organization's mission. The specialist will act as an architect of awareness, ensuring that the people Mosaic supports have a powerful voice.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in marketing, public relations, or communications.
- At least one year of experience in the field.
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in standard office equipment, computer programs, and social media platforms.
- Strong relationship-building skills.
- Ability to present to any audience with professional courtesy.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive community relations strategy to boost local awareness.
- Plan and develop activities to engage donors, volunteers, and advocates.
- Recruit and manage the community advisory committee and volunteer teams.
- Build relationships with local media, foundations, and faith communities.
- Collaborate with the Mission Advancement team to create print and digital content.
- Maintain contact lists using Raiser's Edge.
