About The Position

This New York City-based role serves as a key contributor to the execution of comprehensive marketing and public relations strategies for Valentino Americas. The PR Coordinator will support the Communications team on a day-to-day basis, driving brand visibility, editorial placement, and strategic relationships across the North American market.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience within the fashion, retail, or luxury industry in a similar PR or communications role.
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively, proactively, and independently.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Adobe Creative tools (InDesign/Adobe CC).
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred not required.
  • Familiarity with PR and analytics platforms (e.g., Launchmetrics, Lefty) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of retail, photography, digital content, and e-commerce is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and facilitate North American editorial sample requests across Valentino, Valentino Uomo, and Valentino Haute Couture.
  • Cultivate, strengthen, and maintain relationships with editors, stylists, and key industry contacts.
  • Partner with the PR Manager to ensure alignment of global and local product pushes within editorial strategies.
  • Support the development and execution of local content initiatives and storytelling opportunities.
  • Create seasonal editorial pitches aligned with key product launches and regional moments.
  • Collaborate with the PR Manager and HQ teams to secure coverage for campaigns, events, and brand initiatives.
  • Execute seasonal and initiative-based gifting strategies, ensuring alignment with brand positioning and target recipients.
  • Compile, analyze, and distribute performance reporting using tools such as Launch metrics and Lefty.
  • Manage fashion show requests and guest lists; support the editorial review and seating process in partnership with leadership.
  • Partner with HQ and local teams on influencer activations and brand partnerships.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitors, and market activity to inform strategic opportunities and maintain brand relevance.
