About The Position

Under general supervision, supports the City’s compliance with public records laws by collecting, reviewing, redacting, and preparing records—including body-worn camera footage and audio—for release; ensures accuracy, consistency, adherence to statutory and departmental requirements, and safeguards confidential or sensitive information; and performs related duties as assigned. The incumbent for this position will perform regular review of Body Worn Camera and photos containing sensitive and potentially graphic material, including crimes, accidents, medical emergencies, and individuals during vulnerable moments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Criminal Justice, Communications, or a closely related field
  • Two (2) years of experience in administrative/customer service involving direct public contact
  • Must pass a nationwide fingerprint-based record check, and a wants/warrants check
  • Must obtain and maintain Security Awareness and National Crime Information Center (NCIC)/Nevada Criminal Justice Information System (NCJIS) certification upon hire/transfer and recertify as needed.
  • Must maintain certifications in NCIC/NCJIS as a condition of continued employment.
