About The Position

The Public Programs Intermittent supports the Public, Family & Adult Programs team during the Celebration Crossing holiday experience and other public programs. The role assists with facilitating Celebration Crossing, holiday, and public programs; program planning, logistics, and evaluation; and required training. It enhances visitor experiences through engagement, customer service, activity facilitation, and care of interactive spaces. This is a seasonal position limited to 180 working days in an eleven-month continuous period and does not offer benefits.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Experience in customer service or hospitality industries.
Comfort working independently and demonstrating initiative.
Good communication skills, enthusiasm, and a collaborative work ethic.
Ability to maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

Background in education, museum studies, and/or customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

Engage and interact with visitors in Celebration Crossing, answer questions and concerns, and facilitate daily programs.
Implement scheduled and spontaneous activities and programs for children, families, and adults.
Greet visitors, provide customer service, answer questions, and remain present in the space.
Work with and assist museum volunteers as needed.
Facilitate Celebration Crossing experiences and monitor interactive components and manipulatives.
Assist the Public Programs team with planning, preparation, set-up, tear-down, and evaluation of holiday and public programs and activities.
Attend and complete all required trainings.
Communicate visitor issues and concerns to security and other staff as appropriate.
Sanitize exhibit and public spaces daily.
Perform other duties as assigned.
