This position is ONLY OPEN TO CURRENT FULL-TIME ANNUALLY PAID PARKS EMPLOYEES. The Public Programs Budget Supervisor will perform difficult administrative work for the Public Programs division under the direction of the Chief of Programming and Strategic Management for Recreation, with significant latitude for independent judgment. The role involves overseeing the planning and monitoring of city and grant-funded expense budgets, conducting detailed budget analyses, and drafting new need requests. Responsibilities include reviewing spending plans, approving purchase requests, ensuring compliance with city procurement policy, and collaborating with the Budget division to resolve transaction activities. The position also entails setting up and monitoring division contracts, ensuring timely processing of purchase requests through eRequester, and preparing reports using the Financial Management System (FMS) and Xplor. Additionally, the role involves monitoring fitness equipment inventory, assisting in the design and planning of capital projects, researching and obtaining affordable products, and utilizing knowledge of city regulations and procurement procedures. The Public Programs Budget Supervisor will also perform duties for the Assistant Commissioner for Public Programs.
