The Department of Health (DOH) is offering an exciting opportunity to serve as a Public Health Program Administrator in the Health Research Office. In this role, you will support important research efforts that guide health programs across the Commonwealth. Requirements

  • One year as a Public Health Program Associate 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • A bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience in the development, analysis, or monitoring of programs, grants, or contracts in health, human services, social or behavioral services, health care services, or health insurance; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees grants, contracts, and research activities that support the goals of the Health Research Office.
  • Reviews applications, monitors grantee progress, and evaluates reports for assigned projects.
  • Works with internal teams and advisory committees to support research priorities and program needs.
  • Analyzes grant deliverables, statistical and budgetary information, and performance outcomes to assess progress.
  • Provides assistance to applicants and grantees regarding project requirements and needed revisions.
  • Develops updates to policies, procedures, and regulations based on state and federal guidance.
  • Prepares agendas, meeting materials, and documentation for advisory committee activities.
