About The Position

As a Public Health Program Administrator for the Department of Health, you help move important health initiatives forward. You support community partners, review data, and help shape programs that make a real difference. Your work encourages healthier environments and promotes fairness in access to care. This position focuses on guiding asthma prevention and control efforts by supporting partners, reviewing data, and strengthening long-term strategies. It plays a key role in promoting health equity, improving programs, and helping communities across the Commonwealth stay healthier.

Requirements

One year as a Public Health Program Associate 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
A bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience in the development, analysis, or monitoring of programs, grants, or contracts in health, human services, social or behavioral services, health care services, or health insurance
An equivalent combination of experience and training
Must be able to perform essential job functions

Responsibilities

Lead the development of goals, objectives, and strategies for assigned public health programs
Build and maintain working relationships with federal, state, and local partners involved in asthma prevention and control
Monitor asthma trends, guide data analysis, and share findings with partners and the public
Develop tools, measures, and plans to assess program outcomes and improve strategies
Create reports, presentations, and materials to explain program results and evidence-based practices
Develop and manage grants and contracts to ensure proper implementation, spending, and compliance
