About The Position
Public health nursing provides services that include postnatal care; childhood, school, and adult immunizations; client and staff education/orientation; influenza programming; communicable disease follow-up; and travel health services. This position will include a work assignment of a subset of these services. Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA)
- Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
- Ability to adapt to changing conditions
- Knowledge in population and public health concepts
- Ability to competently use computers and software applications
- Advanced - Interpersonal skills
- Advanced - Organizational skills
- Advanced - Assessment skills
- Advanced - Communication skills
- Advanced - Change management skills
- Must upload all relevant documents (ex: certificates, diplomas, proof of enrollment, licenses and/or memberships) relating to the qualifications of the position.
- Must bring a valid Criminal Record Check (CRC) to the interview; it must be dated within six (6) months and include a vulnerable sector search.
Nice To Haves
- One year experience as a Public Health Nurse or Immunization Nurse is an asset
