About The Position

The Public Health Nurse delivers a full range of community-based Public Health Services including pre and post-natal care, immunization, health counseling. You will also prepare and present information on various health issues/topics to individuals, families and groups. Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
One (1) year of public health experience required
Previous public health experience minimum 1-2 years' experience
Immunization Competencies Course
Basic - Organizational skills
Basic - Presentation skills
Basic - Communication skills
Basic - Interpersonal skills
Ability to work and communicate in a cross cultural setting
Knowledge in program and community development process
Knowledge in diverse cultures, values and traditions
Knowledge of population health approach to health promotion/prevention
Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
Registered/eligible for registration with the CRNS as RN (NP)
Valid Criminal Record Check (CRC) dated within six (6) months and include a vulnerable sector search (required for interview)
