The Louisiana Office of Public Health Laboratory has an opening for a Public Health Laboratory Scientist Supervisor to oversee the Virology Serology and Sexually Transmitted Infections (ViSTI) department of the OPH Laboratory in Baton Rouge. The ViSTI department is responsible for performing laboratory diagnostic testing for sexually transmitted pathogens of public health concern, and serves as laboratory support for multiple different Health programs throughout the state. Preference will be given to applicants with supervisory experience and applicants meeting CLIA General Supervisor qualifications for high complexity Bacteriology, Syphilis Serology, Parasitology and General Immunology. Applicants for this position must possess or be eligible to obtain a Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners (LSBME) clinical laboratory scientist license, which requires national certification by ASCP, AMT or AAB.
