About The Position

Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and organizes health promotion programs for group and community needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university in Education, Health Education, Nutrition, Public Health, Social Work; or six (6) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • No additional experience required.
  • Knowledge of Database software; Design software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
  • The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
  • Must have knowledge of Cherokee customs, language, and culture and be familiar with medical terminology.
  • Must also have experience with computer databases, word processing and statistical and graphic design software.
  • Must possess strong organizational, presentation, and public relations skills.
  • Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for childcare.

Nice To Haves

  • Health Education Specialist certification preferred.
