The City of Racine Health Department is recruiting for a talented Public Health Educator/Environmental Health Specialist. This role serves in a variety of roles to facilitate the development of policies, procedures, interventions, and systems conducive to the health of individuals, groups, and communities under the direction of the Public Health Administrator and / or their designees. The position involves leading environmental health surveillance and intervention activities, conducting complex contact interviewing and investigations, assessing individual and community needs for health education, planning and implementing health education strategies, and serving as a health education resource. Additional responsibilities include managing grants, programs, and/or contracts, and acting as a first responder in emergencies.
