About The Position

The Public Health Analyst I – Data & Evaluation provides analytical and programmatic support to CDC Division of Global Migration Health (DGMH) initiatives. This role focuses on data analysis, performance monitoring, and program evaluation to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement across public health programs. This position supports a government contract and is restricted to U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents. Documentation is required. This is a mission-critical role requiring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate data into actionable insights within a fast-paced public health environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Statistics, or related field
  • Experience with data analysis, reporting, or program evaluation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to ensure data accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must pass the pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
  • An active NACI clearance or the ability to obtain a NACI clearance is required for consideration.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative public health data to support program operations, monitoring, and decision-making
  • Support development and implementation of program evaluation activities, including tracking key performance indicators and outcomes
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to communicate program performance and trends
  • Clean, validate, and manage datasets to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency
  • Support data collection efforts, including coordination with internal teams and external partners
  • Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for program improvement through data analysis
  • Assist in developing and maintaining reporting tools and tracking systems
  • Prepare reports, briefs, and presentations for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Support continuous quality improvement efforts by monitoring program metrics and outcomes
  • Collaborate with epidemiologists, analysts, and program staff to support data-driven initiatives
  • Participate in meetings and briefings to provide data insights and program updates
  • Support reporting and analytics aligned with CDC program priorities and timelines
