About The Position

The Public Area Attendant and Public Area Building Attendant provide Forbes Five Star Service with attention to detail, quality, and consistency. The role maintains cleanliness throughout hotel guest areas and back-of-house areas, completes a daily work quota, and assists with guest requests. The position offers the opportunity to select an appropriate leveling program based on quality and job knowledge. Associates may also be assigned other job-related duties by their supervisor.

Nice To Haves

Experience in the hospitality industry or equivalent.
Knowledge of proper chemical handling.
Basic ability to communicate in English.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

Efficiently process and prioritize tasks.
Review the Daily Events Report and perform tasks according to group events.
Maintain cleanliness throughout public spaces and back-of-house areas, following the proper sequence of cleaning. Areas include guest room buildings, restrooms, restaurants, patios, plazas and terraces, elevators, the main lobby, Camp Oak, ballroom pre-function areas, golf areas, thoroughfares and foyers, retail stores, pools, associate offices, and break rooms.
Clean and reposition furniture; remove trash and debris; dust, sweep, and mop floors; vacuum carpets and floor mats; and keep walking surfaces and counters dry.
Clean site ranch offices and restrooms as needed.
Assist with cleaning leaks and floods when necessary.
Place appropriate signage on spills and wet or flooded areas.
Place out-of-order signs on malfunctioning hardware or appliances.
Stock restroom vending machines and supply public areas with appropriate amenities and supplies.
Hand-fold linen napkins for public restrooms.
Cut and make flower arrangements for public restrooms.
Display work habits that promote accident prevention and follow health department sanitation and safety regulations.
Handle cleaning chemicals in accordance with OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.
Ensure equipment functions properly and report maintenance needs to a supervisor or manager, including through Knowcross.
Maintain the confidentiality of hotel guests and pertinent hotel information.
Ensure the security of guest room access and hotel property, including assigned keys and communication devices.
Remain attentive to guests and provide service to ensure an enjoyable visit.
Remain calm and courteous in demanding or difficult guest situations, resolving issues when possible and reporting them to a supervisor or manager.
Follow lost-and-found protocols.
Perform assignments as either a Public Area Attendant or Public Area Building Attendant, as directed.
