About The Position

This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and neatness of all lobbies and public facilities, including restrooms, dining areas, the front desk, and offices. The Public Area Attendant plays a key role in promoting a positive image of the property to members by being pleasant, honest, and friendly, and by addressing guest requests and problems effectively. Additionally, this role acts as a turndown attendant, refreshing member rooms in the early evening.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be detail-oriented.
  • Candidate must speak, write, and/or understand English.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential for this position.
  • The ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to read safety procedures and instructions.
  • Ability to maintain proper security key control procedures for member rooms.
  • Be able to work weekends and holidays.
  • Be able to meet flexible schedules and day offs.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma is preferred but not required.
  • Prior hotel/lodging experience is preferred but not required (level I).

Responsibilities

  • Cleans public sitting rooms, public hallways, and all public restrooms throughout the mansion.
  • Cleans and maintains the dining room, boardroom, and occasionally the spa area.
  • Sweeps, vacuums, and mops flooring throughout public areas.
  • Posts caution signs when appropriate.
  • Polishes furniture, fixtures, and railings as needed per venue.
  • Vacuums and polishes elevators.
  • Dusts all public areas.
  • Keeps the front of the hotel free from trash.
  • Performs special cleaning schedules as assigned by the housekeeping control desk and/or housekeeping management.
  • Reports maintenance issues to the supervisor/housekeeping desk immediately.
  • Assists members in Public Areas when required.
  • Maintains knowledge of all mansion facilities, resort hours of operation, restaurants, shops, and function rooms.
  • Responsible for maintaining supply inventory in the Public Area cleaning closets.
  • Adheres to uniform and grooming standards.
  • Maintains confidentiality and security of all members and general hotel information.
  • Changes and replaces used linen and terry, changes dirty glasses, removes all trash, turns on radio or TV, fills ice bucket, closes drapes and windows, wipes down mirrors and any wet surfaces, hangs robes and jackets, places shoes in the closet, and turns down beds in all guest rooms and suites.
  • Sets heating and cooling thermostats when guests are not present.
  • Loads and stocks service carts with linen and towel supplies.
  • Responds to special member requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
  • Performs the tasks of a Housekeeper as needed to facilitate service.
  • Reports any faulty equipment.
  • Reports any suspicious activities.
  • Complies with hotel Lost and Found policy.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
