About The Position

The Public Area Attendant maintains the building to provide a safe and clean experience for hotel guests, associates, and vendors. The role involves cleaning and polishing public-area fixtures and surfaces, removing trash, and following established procedures for using cleaning agents. The position requires physical activity such as reaching overhead, bending, stooping, walking, standing for extended periods, and pushing or pulling heavy equipment. The attendant must follow directions, communicate effectively, and perform duties with limited supervision.

Requirements

Maintain a professional appearance and manner.
Communicate effectively with guests, supervisors, coworkers, and the public, adapting communication style to the audience.
Understand and follow directions and perform job functions under limited supervision.
Have the ability to lift, bend, stoop, walk, push or pull heavy equipment, and stand for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Nice To Haves

Hotel experience preferred.
Self-starting personality with an even disposition.

Responsibilities

Clean sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors, tiles, counters, walls, stalls, vents, and floors using cleaning agents.
Follow cleaning procedures and instructions for using cleaning agents.
Dust furniture, pictures, and shelves, reaching overhead and bending or stooping as needed.
Clean and polish metal surfaces using repeated pressure.
Clean ashtrays and empty trash.
Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
