About The Position

Fluidstack is seeking a Public Affairs professional to own public affairs for data center and power projects. This role involves engaging with local officials, community groups, and the public record to build support in the communities where Fluidstack builds. The ideal candidate will be responsible for running responses to project attention, media inquiries, hearings, and opposition, and partnering with development, legal, and government relations teams to ensure external messaging aligns with project realities. Fluidstack is focused on delivering GWs of compute infrastructure for AI at unprecedented speed and scale, and this role is crucial in navigating the public and community aspects of this mission.

Requirements

  • Experience in public affairs or community relations for infrastructure, energy, or land development projects.
  • Ability to manage skeptical audiences and de-escalate situations.
  • Proven track record of building coalitions of local stakeholders.
  • Strong writing skills for talking points, letters, and testimony.
  • Deep understanding of county-level politics.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data center or utility siting.
  • Campaign or government experience.
  • Crisis communications experience.
  • Familiarity with Texas or upstate New York markets.
