About The Position

The Evergreen State College Master of Public Administration (MPA) program is seeking to establish a pool of adjunct faculty to teach four-credit elective master's-level public administration courses for the 2026-27 academic year. Specific courses include: Foundations of Public Policy (Fall 2026), Tribal Organizations (Winter 2027), Path to Sovereignty (Winter 2027), Path to Sovereignty (Tacoma) (Spring 2027), Public Budgeting (Fully Remote) (Spring 2027), and Intergovernmental Relations (Spring 2027). Additionally, proposals for a 2-credit elective in Fall quarter 2026 are welcome.

Requirements

  • Master's or Ph.D. in public administration or a related field.
  • Experience teaching graduate-level courses in public administration or a related field OR two or more years of professional experience in public administration.

Nice To Haves

  • Ph.D. in public administration or a related field.
  • Experience teaching in an interdisciplinary setting.

Responsibilities

  • Teach four-credit elective master's-level public administration courses.
  • Teach a 2-credit elective course.
  • Develop and deliver course content for specific MPA electives.
