About The Position

The PT Merchandiser stocks and merchandises beverage products at retail customer accounts in an assigned area. The role ensures beverage sections, end caps, racks, and displays are stocked and ready for consumers. The position is based out of the Linwood Branch and serves the Asheboro, North Carolina area. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday only, with a flexible start time, and requires extensive travel using a personal vehicle. The work is labor-intensive and includes repeatedly lifting and loading cases, moving heavy products, and completing merchandising tasks during work periods of 8–12 hours. On-premise merchandisers may also assist with wine events after regular work hours.

Requirements

Available to work Saturdays and Sundays only, with flexibility in start time.
Willing and able to travel extensively and follow a specified daily route using a personal vehicle.
Able to repeatedly lift and load cases weighing 20–45 pounds and push or pull over 800 pounds during an 8–12-hour work period.
Able to bend, reach, and squat while merchandising and moving products.
Willing to work until the entire job is done, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as business dictates, and in adverse weather conditions.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to respectfully communicate store issues to management.
Highly self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
Good math skills, including the ability to calculate margin and markup percentages.
Pass a background check, drug test, and physical capabilities test.
Hold a valid, clean North Carolina driver's license and have insurance.
Follow federal and state regulations governing the sale and distribution of alcoholic beverages in North Carolina.

Responsibilities

Deliver, fill, merchandise, and rotate products at customer accounts.
Provide superior customer service and foster positive relationships with customers and their personnel.
Use equipment such as U-boats, hand trucks, and pallet jacks to transport products.
Keep back-room stock neat and orderly.
Maintain package integrity and product quality standards in the marketplace.
Display promotional materials, including signs and banners, at customer accounts.
For on-premise merchandising, assist with or work wine events such as tastings, seminars, and dinners after regular work hours.
Follow an assigned route in a personal vehicle and service accounts during times designated by management.
Practice safe work procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
Attend work reliably and predictably.
Build customer relationships at the retail level and contribute to team efforts by completing related tasks.
Complete other tasks as requested by management.
Maintain accountability for equipment used to deliver and merchandise an assigned route.
Follow federal and state regulations governing the sale and distribution of alcoholic beverages in North Carolina.
