About The Position

This position is part-time and reports to the Meat Manager.

Requirements

Strongly service-oriented and motivated.
Capable of serving customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
Ability to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

Provide information, assistance, and courteous service to customers, promoting merchandise sales.
Advise Department Manager of specials or out-of-stock merchandise requested by customers.
Adjust minor customer complaints according to sales policy and refer serious complaints to the Department Manager.
Prepare, wrap, price, stock, and price check merchandise.
Unpack and check merchandise, including codes and dates.
Display all types of meat according to departmental procedures, ensuring proper rotation, freshness, and full stock.
Observe safety measures and report hazardous conditions immediately to the Department Manager.
Place orders for inventory replenishment as required.
Assist in stocktaking as required.
Operate equipment necessary to prepare merchandise for sale.
Perform general housekeeping and sanitation duties according to Association standards.
Provide proper maintenance of equipment, monitor case temperatures, clean equipment regularly, and notify supervisor of needed repairs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
