About The Position
The Department of History at Ohio Wesleyan University is seeking a Part-Time Instructor in History to teach two courses in the Fall semester of 2026: “Introduction to Medieval history” and “The Black Death.” This is an in-person teaching position, as Ohio Wesleyan is a residential, liberal arts institution that does not offer online courses during the spring and fall semesters. The courses are scheduled for Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Requirements
- MA or PhD in History or a related field.
- Experience teaching premodern courses at the undergraduate level.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Teach 2 courses in the Fall semester of 2026: “Introduction to Medieval history” and “The Black Death.”
