About The Position

The Art History Instructor will be responsible for developing and delivering instructional lectures for Art courses, with a workload of up to 10 hours per week. This role involves organizing and teaching all levels of Art classes, utilizing appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning. The instructor may teach day, evening, and/or weekend assignments, including distance learning formats (interactive television, online) and accelerated courses. A key responsibility is assessing Student Learning Outcomes each semester. Participation in department, division, and college-wide initiatives and committees is optional.

Requirements

  • Master’s in art history, history of art and architecture, or visual culture/visual studies OR Bachelor’s in art history AND Master’s in history OR Master’s in art with a recorded emphasis or concentration in art history OR The equivalent
  • All applicants are required to meet the minimum qualifications specified by the Yuba Community College District (YCCD) by the application filing date.
  • Alternatively, applicants must have obtained an equivalency determination from the District before the publication of the Recruitment Announcement.
