About The Position
Saskatoon Co-op is looking for a part-time Courtesy Clerk to join their team at the Stonebridge Food store. This role reports to the Food Manager and is responsible for assisting with customer service, packing grocery orders, providing car service, performing housekeeping duties, managing grocery carts, supporting checkout operations, preventing merchandise loss, and handling bottle returns. The ideal candidate will be strongly service-oriented, physically capable of performing the duties, and willing to participate in training. A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
Requirements
- Strongly service-oriented and motivated.
- Capable of assisting customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Physically capable of completing the required duties.
- Able to improve knowledge and ability by attending and participating in assigned training sessions.
- Able to work mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining high standards of customer relations and service.
- Pack grocery orders efficiently, according to company expectations.
- Provide efficient and courteous car service as required.
- Perform housekeeping duties, including cleaning up breakages and spills, keeping the checkout area free of paper and debris, cleaning shelves, bins and displays as needed, and keeping aisles free of debris, clean and orderly.
- Return grocery carts to the store and remove any damaged carts.
- Assist in the efficient operation of the checkout by replenishing supplies, obtaining change for cashiers, and verifying prices on goods for cashiers.
- Maintain a constant alert against the unauthorized removal of merchandise.
- Be familiar with all goods and services provided in the unit.
- Attend and participate in training courses as directed by the supervisor.
- Handle bottle returns as directed.
- Improve product knowledge and salesmanship through attendance and participation at training courses, as directed by the supervisor.
