About The Position

The Baker Act Coordinator works in conjunction with the Director of Clinical Services to ensure the successful administration and management of the legal processes that are required of Florida’s Baker Act regarding involuntary patients. The Baker Act Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities while adhering to patient rights, state regulations, and hospital policies and procedures.

Requirements

• A four year degree in related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of prior hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the successful administration and management of the legal processes that are required of Florida’s Baker Act regarding involuntary patients.
• Coordinate the day-to-day activities while adhering to patient rights, state regulations, and hospital policies and procedures.
