Psychotherapist Interns: Clinical Social Work, Mental Health Counseling & Marriage & Family Therapy
About The Position
Harmony United Psychiatric Care is hiring a Psychotherapist Intern for its outpatient clinic in Orlando, Florida. The clinic is part of a network providing in-person and virtual outpatient mental health services through a secure telehealth platform. Services include psychiatric and psychological evaluations, medication management, psychotherapy and counseling, and neuropsychological testing. The organization serves adults, adolescents, and children aged five and above, with individualized care delivered by a multidisciplinary mental health team. The intern will provide psychological assessments, diagnoses, and therapeutic interventions for patients with a range of mental health conditions. This independent-contractor role offers the choice to determine working hours. Offices are open Monday through Thursday for in-person and telehealth appointments, and telemedicine availability is offered Friday through Sunday. The role may be performed 50% by telemedicine from the beginning of employment. Compensation is $35 per billable hour.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
- Active Florida intern license or be in the process of obtaining one.

Responsibilities
- Provide psychological assessments, diagnoses, and therapeutic interventions for patients with a variety of mental health conditions.
- Provide different modalities of psychotherapy and counseling services.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
- Provide psychoeducation to patients and their families about mental health conditions and therapeutic strategies.
- Document services rendered in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Stay current with advancements in psychotherapy and counseling through continuing education and professional development.
