About The Position

The Psychosocial Rehabilitation Technician facilitates program activities for consumers enrolled in day treatment programs. The role involves ongoing monitoring and supervision of consumers to support their safety, well-being, and improvement in daily functioning. The position may require operating a bus or van to transport consumers to and from day treatment programs. This is a full-time floater position, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with occasional shifts in the IDD program. The position pays $15 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid Mississippi driver’s license.
• Pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Maintain documentation demonstrating that duties are completed in accordance with Department of Mental Health Operational Standards.
• Maintain the training, continuing education, qualifications, and certifications required by Department of Mental Health Operational Standards.
• Supervise consumers during day treatment activities, including meal and snack preparation, clerical duties, and maintenance.
• Meet regularly with day treatment staff to increase consumer participation.
• Assist staff with menu preparation, food inventory, shopping, and ordering supplies as needed.
• Assist with supervising consumers during field trips.
• Transport consumers as directed by the supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
