Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Services or Psychology
  • Bachelor's Degree Psychology

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years Experience working in child care institution
  • Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor (LCAC) - State Licensing Board

Responsibilities

  • Utilize therapeutic interventions.
  • Direct resident placement and room assignment in conjunction with treatment team.
  • Initiate and complete the admission process for residents including all documentation, as well as communication with placing agency, treatment team, and family.
  • Enter charges for clinical staffing in Avatar system.
  • Provide coverage for Community Relations Specialist, as needed.
  • Accompany the Clinical Therapist and resident to court review hearings, as needed.
  • Provide family skills training, as needed.
  • Complete the Intake Assessment tool on the EON website for the IARCA Outcome Measures Project.
  • Compile a comprehensive Monthly Progress Report for each resident on caseload, and forward it to placing agencies thereby verifying completion and successful receipt by placing agency.
  • Record progress notes using Epic and Avatar electronic systems.
  • Document all correspondence and communication with families and guardians and place agencies, and ensure Avatar documentation is printed for placement in resident medical records.
  • Complete and monitor release of information forms to maintain compliance with HIPPA, and document all required discharge documentation, including the Psychosocial Report and Discharge Assessment Tool on the EON website for the IARCA Outcome Measures Project.
  • Assist with coordination of care for the residents as noted by providing information on essential contacts for resident.
  • Initiate the preliminary Crisis Management Plan (ICMP) for residents.
  • Coordinate with the Clinical Therapist and treatment team to complete individual action plans, behavior management plans, and safety plans.
  • Conduct and participate in audits to ensure medical records are in compliance with standards to meet residential licensure requirements.
