About The Position

Georgetown Counseling and Psychiatric Service (CAPS) has a training program for psychologists in training, offering full-time post-internship positions known as Psychology Postdoctoral Fellows. These positions extend the department's clinical reach and outreach efforts. The role involves evaluating students with psychological distress, providing crisis intervention, brief counseling, and outreach. Fellows also consult with deans, parents, faculty, and staff regarding student mental health issues, all under the supervision of licensed CAPS psychologists.

Requirements

  • Pre-doctoral internship in psychology or a related field
  • Familiarity and skill in one or more of the following areas: diversity and multicultural issues, eating disorders, substance abuse, LGBTQ issues, and sexual assault trauma.
