About The Position

Community Health Network seeks a psychologist (Psy.D. or Ph.D.) or licensed therapist (MSW) for a core residency faculty role within our ACGME-accredited community-based psychiatry residency program. Our program is designed to provide exceptional physician training using a robust array of mental health service experiences combined with a comprehensive didactic curriculum. The faculty are committed to prepare residents to succeed at the forefront of the evolving role of psychiatry in the delivery of healthcare. Ideal candidates will have previous faculty/teaching experience. This is a part-time position, 0.5 FTE (20 hours/week), utilizing the EPIC EMR. The role offers a generous salary and benefits package, including incentives and paid CME. The Community Psychiatry Residency, accredited by ACGME since 2015, is expanding its slots and is affiliated with Indiana’s largest behavioral health provider. It operates with a physician-led organization committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, physician well-being, and development. Core faculty will primarily support the residency program's development, implementation, and assessment of curriculum, working as a team for the education, training, and support of residents. The network's facilities and patient population provide a rich educational experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Requirements

  • Master's or higher degree in Social Work or Psychology, or related behavioral health field required
  • Licensed as a LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or HSSP in the state of Indiana is required
  • Clinical teaching and patient care experience
  • Background in medical education and quality improvement
  • Experience presenting scholarly work or research
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage group processes and mentor diverse learners
  • Commitment to inclusive, team-based care and education

Nice To Haves

  • Experience providing clinical supervision to psychology interns, practicum students, MSW students, or other learners preferred
  • Strong knowledge of ethical guidelines and professional standards in psychology/behavioral health
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and support learners' professional development
  • Compassion, empathy, and a commitment to promoting mental health and well-being
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Previous faculty/teaching experience

Responsibilities

  • Work with the residency program as their primary activity.
  • Deliver clinical care primarily with residents and students.
  • Support program leadership in the development, implementation and assessment of the program curriculum.
  • Work as a team for the education, training and support of the residents.
