About The Position

The incumbent will provide Psychology Services primarily directed to pre-school aged children 0-5 years of age. Provision of these services are through a combination of direct service, consultation, community resource development and education. The Early Childhood Psychologist complements existing staff that provide services to children, youth and their families. Requirements

  • Master of Psychology (MPsych)
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists
  • Authorized Practice Endorsement (APE)
  • Supervised training in assessment, differential diagnosis and intervention

Nice To Haves

  • Master of Clinical Psychology is acceptable
  • Master of Educational Psychology is acceptable
  • Knowledge of trauma informed practice
  • Knowledge in clinical theory and best practice
  • Knowledge in evidence-based approaches for children, youth and families

Responsibilities

  • Provide Psychology Services primarily directed to pre-school aged children 0-5 years of age.
  • Provision of services through a combination of direct service, consultation, community resource development and education.
  • Administer and interpret psychological tests.
  • Provide psychological consultations to the team, community, & schools.
  • Perceive and analyze problems and effect innovative solutions.
  • Work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Collect, record, report comprehensive client information accurately.
  • Utilize computerized assessment & interpretation software packages.
  • Facilitate educational and skill development groups.
