About The Position
The incumbent will provide Psychology Services primarily directed to pre-school aged children 0-5 years of age. Provision of these services are through a combination of direct service, consultation, community resource development and education. The Early Childhood Psychologist complements existing staff that provide services to children, youth and their families. Requirements
- Master of Psychology (MPsych)
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists
- Authorized Practice Endorsement (APE)
- Supervised training in assessment, differential diagnosis and intervention
Nice To Haves
- Master of Clinical Psychology is acceptable
- Master of Educational Psychology is acceptable
- Knowledge of trauma informed practice
- Knowledge in clinical theory and best practice
- Knowledge in evidence-based approaches for children, youth and families
- May be eligible for Recruitment and/or Retention Incentives
Responsibilities
- Provide Psychology Services primarily directed to pre-school aged children 0-5 years of age.
- Provision of services through a combination of direct service, consultation, community resource development and education.
- Administer and interpret psychological tests.
- Provide psychological consultations to the team, community, & schools.
- Perceive and analyze problems and effect innovative solutions.
- Work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Collect, record, report comprehensive client information accurately.
- Utilize computerized assessment & interpretation software packages.
- Facilitate educational and skill development groups.
