About The Position

Responsible for providing a wide range of direct clinical services to students. Works with faculty and administrators in consultation, outreach and other collaborative initiatives.

Requirements

  • Analytical skills; ability to examine information and draw logical conclusions.
  • Possess strong communication skills and ability to listen and speak with patients.
  • Ability to observe and understand the possible meanings of facial expressions, body positions, actions, and interactions.
  • Ability to demonstrate patience in interaction with patients.
  • Ability to work well with clients, patients, and other medical professionals.
  • Ability to find treatments or solutions for patients.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and build trust in treating sensitive problems.
  • Ph.D. in clinical/counseling psychology is required
  • Must be eligible to acquire Psychology License within 2 years of hire date (Clinical/Counseling) or Psychology License (Clinical/Counseling) upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and referral.
  • Performs crisis intervention as needed.
  • May conduct individual and group counseling and therapy sessions.
  • Provides a wide range of direct clinical services to students and works with faculty and administrators in consultation, outreach and other collaborative initiatives.
  • Coordinates with referring physician and family members.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
