About The Position
Responsible for all psychiatric evaluations, consultations, and related medication reviews and psychiatric discharge summaries.
Requirements
- Current California Sate License in Psychiatry
- Medical Doctor with Psychiatric specialty
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in evaluating and/or treating persons suffering from substance abuse.
Responsibilities
- Psychiatric Evaluations
- Medication Consultations
- Participation in Medical Staff meetings and committees, as requested, including peer review
- Consultation and training of staff, as requested
- Utilization Review, when requested, including phone calls to physicians and case managers
- On Call availability, as needed
- A monthly schedule of hours working at Tarzana Treatment Center, to be provided prior to the start of each month to the Clinical Director
- Completion of the credentialing, privileging and Medical Staff application/re-application process
