About The Position

ProMedica Physicians Group is seeking a part-time Psychiatrist to provide outpatient care in the Fremont/Findlay, Ohio area. The position is 20 hours per week, with core business hours between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday; days, locations, and hours may vary depending on the candidate. The role focuses on outpatient treatment, with 15-, 20-, 30-, and 60-minute patient-care slots. A combination of medication management and psychotherapy involves approximately 15–20 patients per eight-hour day.

Weekend consult coverage is shared at a 1:4 ratio, is low volume, and consists mostly of emergency-room consults. There is no evening call. The clinical call team currently consists of one physician, two advanced practice providers, and eight therapists. ProMedica observed holidays are paid off.

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution in the applicable specialty.
• Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state(s) where care is provided.
• Board certified or board eligible in the relevant specialty.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) certification(s) applicable to the role, such as BLS, ACLS, or PALS.
• Commitment to ongoing continuing medical education (CME) and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient psychiatric treatment.
• Deliver medication management and psychotherapy.
• Participate in low-volume weekend consult coverage on a 1:4 rotation, mostly for emergency-room consults.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to support personalized care.
• Support preventive care and patient education.
