About The Position

ProMedica Physicians Group is seeking a part-time Psychiatrist in the Fremont/Findlay, Ohio area. The position is 20 hours per week, with core business hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Days, locations, and hours may vary depending on the candidate. ProMedica-observed holidays are paid off. Weekend consults are scheduled 1:4, are low volume, and are mostly emergency department consults. There is no evening clinical call.

The role is outpatient only and joins a team currently consisting of one physician, two advanced practice providers, and eight therapists. Patient care slots are 15, 20, 30, or 60 minutes. A combination of medication management and psychotherapy involves 15–20 patients per eight-hour day.

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution in the applicable specialty.
• Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state(s) where care is provided.
• Board certified or board eligible in the relevant specialty.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) certification(s) applicable to the role, such as BLS, ACLS, or PALS.
• Commitment to ongoing continuing medical education (CME) and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient psychiatric treatment.
• Conduct medication management and psychotherapy.
• Participate in low-volume weekend consult coverage on a 1:4 rotation, mostly for emergency department consults.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
