About The Position

Behavioral Health Clinic (BHC) is seeking a Psychiatrist (MD) to provide exceptional psychiatric care and contribute to shaping the future of psychiatric services. This role offers more than traditional clinical practice, with opportunities for physician leadership in areas such as clinical excellence, quality initiatives, physician mentorship, and psychiatric program development. BHC is a growing, mission-driven behavioral health organization serving communities throughout Wisconsin.

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD)
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• Active Wisconsin medical license or eligibility for Wisconsin licensure
• Active DEA registration or eligibility
• Strong commitment to ethical, compassionate, and evidence-based psychiatric care

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations.
• Perform psychiatric diagnosis and treatment.
• Manage medications.
• Provide follow-up psychiatric care.
• Offer child and adolescent psychiatry services.
• Offer adult psychiatry services.
• Offer geriatric psychiatry services.
• Provide telepsychiatry services.
• Provide in-person psychiatric services.
• Engage in collaborative treatment planning.
• Provide services to specialty psychiatric populations based on physician expertise.
• Provide clinical mentorship of psychiatric providers.
• Participate in recruitment and onboarding of physicians.
• Develop psychiatric clinical standards and evidence-based practices.
• Engage in quality improvement and patient care initiatives.
• Participate in psychiatric program development and expansion.
• Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic initiatives.
• Provide physician education and clinical consultation.
• Contribute to the development of psychiatric services across Wisconsin.
• Potentially advance into a Medical Director or physician leadership role.
