About The Position

We have an opportunity for a skilled Psychiatrist to provide locum tenens coverage. The patient population is General Adult with mood disorders, tending towards the acute end of the spectrum. There is no neurodivergent population on this unit. The unit has a 22-bed capacity, with a plan for 2 MDs on the unit per day, resulting in 10-11 patients per MD daily. The role involves working in a team environment with solid support staff, including nursing, advanced practitioners, and therapists. The EMR system used is Sunrise.

Requirements

• Skilled Psychiatrist.
• Willing to work major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Day) or at least some of them.
• Willing to work 2 weekend calls per month.
• Weekend call is from Friday after 5 PM to Monday morning at 8 AM.
• Familiarity with Sunrise EMR system.

Nice To Haves

• Board Certification highly preferred.
• Client prefers full-time availability, but consideration will be given for providers available 2 weeks per month.

Responsibilities

• Provide locum tenens coverage as a Psychiatrist.
• Manage a patient census of 10-11 patients per day on a 22-bed unit.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nursing, advanced practitioners, and therapists.
• Utilize the Sunrise EMR system for patient care documentation.
• Be available for on-call shifts, including weekend calls.
