About The Position

We have an opportunity for a skilled Psychiatrist to provide locum tenens coverage. The patient population includes general adults with mood disorders, focusing on the acute end of the spectrum, and does not include neurodivergent individuals on this unit. The unit has 22 beds, with a plan for two MDs per day, resulting in approximately 10-11 patients per MD. The role involves a team environment with solid support from nursing, advanced practitioners, and therapists.

Requirements

• Board Certification highly preferred.
• Willingness to work major holidays or at least some of them.
• Willingness to work on-call shifts, including 2 weekend calls per month.
• Ability to manage a patient census of 10-11 patients per day.
• Experience with general adult psychiatry and mood disorders.

• Full-time availability preferred.
• Experience with the Sunrise EMR system.

Responsibilities

• Provide locum tenens coverage as a Psychiatrist.
