About The Position
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Adult Psychiatrist to join our growing mental health team in Blackwood, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing and treating a wide range of psychiatric conditions in adults, providing high-quality care in an outpatient setting. Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution, with specialized training in psychiatry.
- Board certification in Adult Psychiatry or board eligibility with a plan to obtain certification.
- Valid New Jersey medical license or eligibility for licensure in New Jersey.
- Strong diagnostic, therapeutic, and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- A genuine desire to help others and an understanding of the complexities of mental health care.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1-2 years of experience in adult psychiatry preferred, though new graduates are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations to diagnose mental health disorders in adult patients, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, and more.
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on diagnostic assessments, incorporating evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as medication management, psychotherapy, and other modalities.
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications, monitoring patient progress, side effects, and adjusting treatment as necessary.
- Work closely with other mental health professionals, including therapists, social workers, and nurses, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Provide ongoing monitoring and follow-up care for patients to ensure optimal treatment outcomes and adjust care plans as needed.
